Buford Alexander is a Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company where he pursued a broad consulting career for more than 30 years serving clients in-depth in high tech, banking and consumer goods. He was an European leader of each of those practices, and founded McKinsey’s European Corporate Finance practice (restructuring, M&A, turnarounds and post merger management).
Buford holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Rice University in Houston, Texas (1970) as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School (1976).
Since retiring from McKinsey in 2008, Buford Alexander has joined the supervisory boards of several corporations as well as non-profits boards. He is increasingly involved in issues of macro-economic importance on both sides of the Atlantic.
